I Am Me – Label Free


Oppression can limit our ability to form healthy relationships, and to reach our own unique highest and fullest potential. “Dismantling” is the process we go through when we begin to recognize and become aware that our thoughts and beliefs might be oppressive to ourselves and others. This process often involves challenging and questioning labels, assumptions, and certain rules and policies; It’s the process of breaking free of those thoughts and beliefs that are holding us back. Generally speaking, “dismantling” means to “take apart”, but the most important part of “dismantling” is analyzing what’s inside and putting ourselves back together from a place of empowerment. 

Knowing ourselves and being true to ourselves – free from the labels and expectations of others – is one of the most important ways to become fully empowered. When we’re fully empowered, we are also more likely to be able to reject oppression – in all its forms – for ourselves, and for others. 

As importantly, knowing about the basics of humanity – our own human rights and basic human needs, understanding the cycle of oppression, knowing the basics about human relationships, and being able to identify and interrupt isms  – allows us to replace oppressive thoughts and beliefs with a Human First Lens and go through the “dismantling” process from a place of strength and integrity.  When we put ourselves “back together” from a place of empowerment, we are more likely become more resilient, overcome obstacles that might come our way, and to truly thrive. 

I Am Me – Label Free Worksheet


The I Am Me – Label Free Worksheet is a simple tool that allows you to explore  and define yourself. While this worksheet can be used on its own, reviewing the topics in I, Human and Interrupting and Eradicating Isms modules beforehand can also give you greater insight into yourself. You can complete the worksheet by answering the questions in your head, saying them out loud, or writing them on a separate piece of paper. If desired, you can also type directly into the worksheet.
